What does a twelve-month qualifying period in my private medical insurance mean?
It means that if you had an injury or illness before you joined the insurance scheme, you must have been completely free of symptoms for at least twelve months before we can assist you with it.
During this period you should not have been required to take any medicines, receive treatment, be subject to check-ups or receive care (for example, visits to a doctor, physiotherapist, naprapath or chiropractor)
